Too Faced Natural Matte Palette

Hey pretty loves!

Those of you who’ve followed my YouTube and blog for awhile will know I am a lover of matte shadows, but I’ve struggled with finding an all-matte palette I truly enjoy. The Naked Basics palettes were a total miss for me (though I love the other Naked palettes by UD) and I didn’t think the color scheme of the Tartlette palette would work for my personal tastes. Cue Too Faced’s response to the matte shadow craze, the Natural Matte Palette.

This beauty comes complete with nine matte colors that are pigmented, creamy and play well together. Primarily the shadows lean on the warmer side of things. You can watch my review in action, or join me after the jump for product photos & more!

Too Faced Natural Matte

Forgive the messiness, but I wanted to leave the palette as it was after two uses; you can see it definitely kicks up a bit of shadow. Luckily, that powderiness seems to remain in the pan and not result in fallout on the face.

(From left to right) Top: Heaven, Cashmere Bunny, Sexpresso Middle: Lace Teddy, Strapless, Risque Bottom: Nude, Honey Butter, Chocolate Cookie

Each swatch is only one pass, and as you can see, the palette has beautiful pigmentation. The shadows are smooth, buttery and creamy, and though they feel soft in the pan and tend to kick up a bit of dust, that doesn’t transfer to the eye.  There isn’t a dud in the whole collection, I’m happy to say!

For this look, I used Heaven all over the lid, Nude in the crease, then a mixture of Chocolate Cookie and Strapless in the outer corner. I finished by taking a tiny bit of Sexpresso in the very outer V. On the lower lashline, I mimicked the upper lid by starting with Nude, which I brought almost all the way into the inner corner. Then I mixed again Chocolate Cookie and Strapless for the outer half of the lower lashline, finishing again with Sexpresso on the outer third. I blended like crazy, and it resulted in this look!
